VIP Adventure Travel caters to those looking to immerse
themselves in both history & knowledge.

The Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem is comprised of Yellowstone NP, Grand Teton NP, and federal lands surrounding both.
This includes Forest Service, BLM, and protected state lands.
This is the largest mostly intact temperate ecosystem on the planet.

The GYE (Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem) is one of a kind. Nothing else compares when it comes to
geologic wonders. Yellowstone is home to one third of all the
hydrothermal features on the entire planet.

With a lifetime of experience in Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks,
and over 2 decades of experience as a professional guide in the GYE, Rowan Laing has a unique
understanding of the area. Rowan’s immersion into the science and ecology of the area began as a small child
when his mother and father did groundbreaking ecological research in Grand Teton NP.

Growing up with a bookshelf of field guides and geology books, he developed a unique knowledge
and perspective on the natural world, and the GYE in particular.

Yellowstone is a world class experience when it comes to Wildlife viewing and geological wonders.
Not to mention spectacular scenery, waterfalls, mountains, lakes and rivers.
Yellowstone is also home to the largest Super volcano on Earth.

The majority of our expeditions are small private tours in a luxury SUV.
(Upon special request, we charter larger vehicles.)

With over 30 years of guiding experience, we offer custom concierge and multi day trips for your family or small group.

If you truly want to experience the best wildlife viewing Yellowstone has to offer, you want to plan your
visit between mid-May and mid-June & September and October.

April to June

Spring is a beautiful time of year to enjoy The Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem.
As snow begins to melt on the valley floor, wildlife* starts to seek out
the first available food sources of spring. The forests and high country are still covered
in deep snow, so wildlife is found on the valley floors, next to the roads.
Roadside wildlife viewing is best as the flora and fauna
return with the Spring sun.

*Including bears emerging from their hibernation, wolves, elk, coyotes, and more.

September to October

Plan your visit for autumn to experience stunning fall foliage, beguiling elk, and bears in hyperphagia
(When they consume all the calories, they need to sustain them through the winter. Some 10 times
the amount they eat in Spring and Summer.)

With over 30 years of experience sharing the natural wonders of
Yellowstone & The Grand Tetons, we promise that you will enjoy a truly
one-of-a-kind experience.

Rowan has become our favorite guide for Jackson.

His knowledge of the geology and history of the region is extensive along with identification of plant and animal species in this vast ecosystem.

These qualifications are most important when visiting Jackson Hole
